I've spent too long following the crowd and today is the day I've decided to do the exact opposite. I'm fed up with logging into my email account and finding numerous emails all recommending the next big thing. I've been guilty of jumping on the bandwagon and promoting the same products too but now I've had enough.
I've decided to give away as many free products as possible, on my website, and not even make it a condition to have someone hand over their email address before they can download anything. Why bother getting an email address when they'll either download the product then cancel their subscription, delete my emails or just not bother reading them?! If you really want to sign up for my newsletter then the link is available but I just don't see the point in forcing you to.
I know that's what the majority of people will do because that's what I've been doing and that's what a lot of my friends do too. Sending 100's of email newsletters to people who were forced to hand over their information is just a waste of time! I know marketers with maybe 10,000 people on their list probably find it worthwhile because even if only 10% of their list open their newsletters and then only 1% go on and buy then those marketers will make money. I mean, 10 people buying the next "hot product" for $97.00 is a cool $970.00 and who can blame them for promoting/selling it?
I don't have a mailing list of 10,000 and even when I do (I'm an optimist) I just don't want to be sending out the same stuff as almost everyone else. I want to be different. I want people to look forward to my newsletters and actually open them when they arrive. I don't want every newsletter to be selling/promoting something either! I want it to have real information that's relevant to real people.
I love writing, I love communicating with people all over the world and if I can make money from that then great. If I don't make money every day, week, month, or year, from my newsletter then it doesn't really matter. I'll still write and send my newsletter anyway and the money will be a bonus.
Of course, I love making money on the internet. I love ebay. I love affiliate marketing. I love the fact that anyone can make money online if they choose. I just don't love all this hype and boring same old stuff that I keep getting. I'm also fed up with those "Today Only" pages that I get taken to when I hand over my email address to download a new product. Today only? Come off it and give me a bit of credit for having a brain that works! Do people really fall for those pages? I suppose they must do or no-one would have them.
OK, I'm starting to rant now but at least you can see just how infuriated and frustrated I've become with all this same old stuff. My website lets you download what you want, when you want for free with no "today only" pages, no other one off offers and no need for you to give me your email address.
Will I still make money? I hope so! I've included a few highly recommended products that you'll have to pay for but it will be entirely your choice and the site makes it clear whether its free or not.
Obviously, I can't please all the people all the time but I do hope you'll find some worthwhile information on this blog and at my website.
Please remember I've only just started the website and there'll be things to iron out and loads more products to add.
